JCB India’s 11-tonne class soil compactor, JCB116, is finding good success. Adding to the company’s road compacter portfolio, the machine comes with a modern JCB diesel max engine, which is claimed to offer fuel-savings of up to five to 10 per cent. Equipped with German vibration technology that provides more compaction per litre, the JCB116 soil compactor is claimed to guarantee desired compaction density in a minimum number of passes. First to offer an in-built compaction meter, which was designed and developed in India, and ensures uniform compaction, the soil compactor machine offers superior operator environment. The steering wheel has been ergonomically designed, and the cab platform is mounted on four viscous mounts to isolate it from any vibrations. The operator is comfortable even during high amplitude passes. Offering lifetime lubricated center joints and grease-free bearings, which minimises any possibility of failures due to any negligence in greasing of joints, the JCB116 soil compactor has an operating weight of 11,250 kg for the 100 hp non-drum drive variant. The operating weight of the 114 hp drum drive variant is 11,350 kg. Maximum torque the soil compactor engine offers is 430 Nm. To ensure higher productivity, JCB India is offering the machine with its Livelink telematics platform. Support is available in the form of over

650 dealers.
