Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Private Limited has opened an acoustics lab at Pune. It is a part of its innovation center, in operation for the last three years. Set to offer cutting-edge solutions and meet the evolving requirements of its customers in the area of Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH), the lab will facilitate vehicle and component level testing for different applications in accordance with international standards. The lab will also help to meet high level of product validation tests based on customer requirements. A trained team of engineers will analyse acoustic material properties of structures and panels to determine their effectiveness in automotive, off-road equipment and appliance applications at the lab. The lab offers capabilities including Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and lab testing. A key highlight at the lab is an anechoic and reverberation chamber with specially designed panels, positioned at specific angles to measure specific frequencies of sound as well as facilitate ideal resonance.
