Busworld Europe will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in the biggest ever extravaganza from October 18-23, 2019 at Brussels Expo.
Busworld Europe 2019 will mark 45 glorious years of Europa’s leading bus and coach fair. Earning global recognition in the bus and coach industry, Buworld started its journey in 1971. To be held from October 18-23, 2019 at the Brussels Expo, in the capital city of Belgium, the fair promises to thrill visitors with the biggest ever extravaganza hosted by the mother exhibition. Moving out from its happy hunting ground in Kortrijk to Brussels, the net exhibition surface this year is claimed to have grown by 50 per cent, from an area of 40,000 sq.m to 60,000 sq.m. With the who’s who of the bus and coach industry confirming their participation, exhibitors this year will include Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), component manufacturers and bus and coach body builders among other bus and coach ancillary suppliers.
Among noteworthy demos at Busworld 2019, Daimler Buses will be demonstrating holistic solutions for public transport besides giving insights into the current and future portfolio of Daimler Buses. It will showcase eight buses under the Mercedes and Setra brand including the eCitaro and the all new Sprinter Travel 75. MAN Truck & Bus is expected to exhibit a broad portfolio of city and intercity buses, coaches and minibuses from both the MAN and Neoplan brands. The company’s premières include the Lion’s City 19, the Lion’s Intercity with a D15 engine, and the eTGE Combi and TGE City range of minibuses.
The OEM for the first time will offer the public, a test drive of the electric MAN Lion’s City E. Independent bus, coach and industrial vehicle manufacturer Van Hool will present three world premieres including the EX11, the Fuel Cell-powered Exqui.City for the French city of Pau and the electrically powered CX45E for the American market. The UK based Mellor known for its low floor minibuses will showcase the ‘Pico’, a low floor microbus built to respect the traditions of public transport. Solaris will present three emission-free vehicles: Urbino 12 hydrogen, Urbino 18 electric and the battery trolleybus Trollino 24. Irizar will showcase six next gen vehicles including the integral coaches (i8 and 6S), two hybrid vehicles (the new i4 and i3) and two electric buses (the new ie bus and tram). The ‘International Bus Conference’ – a collaboration between UITP and Busworld Academy will also be held from 21 to 23 October 2019 on the same premises.
Among component manufacturers and ancillary suppliers, Cummins will unveil a new low profile battery module designed for nine meter ebuses and give a sneak preview of its future roadmap at Brussels Expo. Eberspaecher will present innovative solutions for comfortable cooling, heating and ventilation through the AC 136 HP CO2: Electric thermal management for hybrid and e-buses, Airtronic L3 Commercial: Reliable warmth in mini- and midibuses, Hydronic L3: Powerful pre-heater for large buses. Telematics company ViriCiti will launch the ‘Mixed fleet’ platform for fleet management and monitoring at the expo.
