The 2000 Hindi movie, ‘Hadh Kardi Aapne’, features a Mercedes Benz O303 Padane coach. It appears as a part of the plot that has Govinda and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. A romantic comedy film inspired by the Hollywood film, ‘Romance on the High Seas’, ‘Hadh Kardi Aapne’ shows Govinda and Mukerji romancing each other on a bud journey through the beautiful European countryside. Govinda is actually a detective, and hired by his friend, Sanjay (played by Nirmal Pandey) to keep an eye on his wife, played by Ritu Shivpuri. Sanjay fears that his wife is having an extramarital affair. Ironically, Shivpuri has also engaged Rani Mukerji to keep a check on her husband who she suspects has an extramarital affair too. Sharing the onscreen name with Shivpuri, Govinda mistakes Mukerji for her.

He follows her relentlessly. The two fall in love only for the two to find out that Mukerji is not Shivpuri. With no evidence to be found, the two part ways. Eventually, both the couple come to stay happily ever after!
Making a brief appearance, the Mercedes Benz O303 Padane 12 m long bus, coach built by Italy-based Officine Padane, looks attractive and plush. Produced from 1974 to 1992, the bus was powered by a ‘Vee’ eight-cylinder 296 hp OM 442 Mercedes-Benz engine on a Mercedes Benz O303 chassis. Of the integral body construction type, the bus was quite popular with coach operators during its time. Some 33,000 Mercedes-Benz O303s were built over eighteen-years, until a new model, the O404, superseded them. Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, the bus features air suspension. Capable of seating 50+1 people, the bus had its engine positioned at the rear.
